Embark on a discovery with the Orchestra as they perform music highlighting the beautiful and unique world we live in through the seasons, continents and animals. Enjoy the unique creations in Saint-Saens delightful Carnival of the Animals, the vibrant sounds of Marshall McDonald's well loved Africa, and poetic strains of Eric Whitacre's October. A beautiful concert to open this luminous orchestra season.

Experience hands-on educational activities as the Orchestra hosts an explorative afternoon of science, art, music and technology. Discover the musical sounds of animals as the Orchestra takes you on a jounrey with the magical musical themes from The Carnival of the Animals.


This concert is the perfect fall outing for children and families with all ages and an adventure no one will want to miss.

Following the success of last seasons' Rock Gold concert, the Orchestra invites you to a first ever Holiday Concert Special. Kick off your holiday season with this exciting concert for the whole family. Featuring well loved Christmas classics, talented performing artists, groups and special guests, this concert will warm your hearts with festive joy.

A long running tradition in Southern Utah, the Orchestra will perform their 83rd performance of Handel's Messiah. The music brings in the reason for the season, telling the story of the birth of Christ and his Unparalleled Majesty.


Thanks to generous sponsorship from State Bank of Southern Utah and the Leavitt Group, the concert is free of charge. Season ticket holders are guaranteed tickets and can choose the day of their attendance before the general public. General Tickets will be released online Nov 25th 9:00am at www.myosu.org. All ticket holders should be seated by 7:15pm. After that time any open seats are released to the standby line. Come join the orchestra for this majestic holiday season.

Where would music or the world be without enlightenment of individuals and groups. Featuring the symphonic brilliance of Mendelsohn's Symphony no. 5 "Reformation" as it delves into the Luminous world of Enlightenment.

Be present for the world premiers of new works by up and coming young composers as well as the renowned and well loved composer Marshall McDonald. The Orchestra is proud to support young artists and will showcase the Finalists of the Hal Campbell Young Composer Competition at this final season concert. Be inspired by the creations of young artists and also renowned artists as their work is premiered in the hands of skilled live musicians.
