Education and Listening Corner
OSU Jubilee and SUU STEAM Festival
The Orchestra of Southern Utah has a long history of combining music, arts, and science to engage students in hands-on learning and fun with their annual February Children’s Jubilee. While many local families come each year to participate in an afternoon of music, science and visual art, efforts are currently underway to increase participation across the entire region. For the 2020 installment of the Children’s Jubilee, the Orchestra partners with several SUU and community groups to create an afternoon event of engaged learning. The Children's Jubilee has received national recognition from the League of American Orchestras.
SUU now offers a STEAM Festival in the fall and OSU is one of the presenters. We are pleased that our collaboration of music, science, and art has led to this new offering for the community.
